At Metro Optics, we want all of our patients to come in for a Country Club eye test each year to check their vision as well as screen for any eye diseases that may be present. We have 4 offices for our patients to choose from, one in Parkchester, one in Westchester Square, another in Throggs Neck and one in Hunts Point. We’ve been serving the area for over 40 years.
Metro Optics is proud to support many organizations who are nonprofits and whose missions advance eye health and wellness. Check our website for our updated Community Events calendar for some of our events like national Eye Care holidays, free vision screening events and more. Our free vision screening services help those in areas surrounding the Bronx meet their vision testing needs. We hold these at locations such as church feasts, business improvement events, nonprofits and schools. We also offer our patients Care Credit for their Country Club eye test so that they can have an interest free way to pay for their eye needs.
A vision screening is done if there are corrective issues found, such as astigmatism, or near or farsightedness.Metro Optics offers both vision screenings and a Country Club eye test for our patients. An eye exam checks the eyes as well the health of the eye. It also checks for diseases and detects symptoms that can point to disease. A routine eye exam is the best way to determine diseases like glaucoma, cataracts, and other eye conditions. Glaucoma and cataracts can both cause issues with seeing over time. They come on slowly, but if they are caught early enough can be treated earlier. We recommend our patients come in at least once every year for their eye exams. For vision testing, and refraction for glasses, patients can come to receive a prescription for glasses or contact lenses.
